We are committed to being a faithful, gospel-centered community, deeply rooted in the truth of Scripture. We believe that the church is not simply a gathering of individuals but a covenant community of believers committed to the glory of God and the proclamation of the gospel. We prioritize the centrality of God's Word in our worship, teaching, and daily lives, seeking to reflect the character of Christ in everything we do. Whether you're exploring the Christian faith or looking for a church home, we invite you to join us as we seek to love and live for Christ together.
We pray it looks like the earnest, joyful worship of a family in Christ. Our main gathering on Sunday morning at 10:45 lasts a little more than an hour and consists of worship through music, prayer, preaching, and either baptism or the Lord’s Supper. We strive for our music to be robustly biblical, full of the gospel, and singable so that everyone can join in. The main aspect of our time is to hear God's Word preached. This normally looks like walking through books of the Bible and letting the main point of the passage determine the main point of the message. We have two classes for kids available during our main worship gathering: West Creek Littles (4 months-4 years) for the entire service and West Creek Kids (5 years old-4th grade) during the sermon.
At West Creek we want you to feel comfortable (whether that is in a full suit and tie or in shorts and sandals). We only ask that you dress in a way that would not be inappropriate to children (clothing with graphic images or adult language). "Man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)
West Creek Littles (4 months - 4 years old): Takes place starting at 10:30 am on our lower level during our entire worship service. Two background-checked and trained members of our church will be ready to strive to create a safe, loving environment for the littlest ones among us. We use short lessons from Truth: 78.
West Creek Kids (5 years old - 4th Grade): Takes place on our lower level first at 9:45 am on Sundays, where kids are introduced to the lesson of the day, do a craft or activity, and work on Scripture memorization. Kids then start with their family in the main service and can join West Creek Kids again downstairs during the sermon. Two background-checked and trained members of our church lead kids through The Biggest Story curriculum.
West Creek Students (5th Grade - 8th Grade): Takes place on our lower level Sundays at 9:45 am, as well as get together outside of Sundays to build relationships. Our students will alternate between going through the New City Catechism curriculum and Bible study.
Yes, it is! We have a ramp leading from the parking lot to the main entrance, an ADA compliant restroom, and a chair lift in the building.
We strive to be a church where Christ is central, the gospel is clear, and the Bible drives all we believe, teach, and do. We are an autonomous church (meaning there is no authority structure above us), but we partner with other like-minded churches and organizations in order to take the gospel to our neighbors and the nations. To learn more about what we believe, see our statement of faith below.
In 1 Corinthians 12:27, Paul wrote to the church at Corinth, "Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it." One of the first steps in being a faithful follower of Jesus is to become a vital member of a local church body, like West Creek. Christians are called to assemble together regularly to build one another up in Christ (Hebrews 10:23-25), to encourage one another regularly (Hebrews 3:12-14), to work together to get the Gospel to lost people around the world (Matthew 28:18-20), to protect each other from sin (James 5:19-20), to guard the church from hypocrisy (Matthew 18:15-18), and to be built up by the regular teaching of God’s Word through gifted teachers (Hebrews 13:17). To faithfully follow these commands, Christians lock arms with other believers in a local assembly to foster deep, authentic, God-glorifying, sin-fighting relationships.
To become a member, we invite you to attend our 4-week membership class, where we explore what church membership is, our statement of faith, our church covenant, and to be an active part of our church family. After the class, prospective members have the opportunity to meet with the elders and then to be affirmed by the congregation in celebration and covenant. If you're interested in becoming a member of The Church at West Creek, you can fill out our membership interest form, available in the back of the auditorium at our building.
In order to persevere in the Christian life, we need fellow Christians to walk alongside us. Our church covenant is a summary of the commitments that God calls us to make to fellow Christians. These are commitments that are best lived out with fellow Christians in the same local church.
Having been led, as we believe by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and, on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God, and this assembly, relying on his grace, most solemnly and joyfully enter the covenant with one another, as one body in Christ. We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit:
1. We will submit to the authority of the Scriptures as the final word on all matters of life and doctrine. (2 Tim. 3:14-17)
2. We will seek God’s help to enable us to resist sin and pursue holiness, both as individuals and as a church. (Rom. 6:1-14; 1 Thess. 4:1; Titus 2:12; 1 Pt. 1:14-16; 1 Jn. 2:15-17)
3. We will regularly assemble together to worship God and mutually build up each other in Christ. (Heb. 10:23-25)
4. We will commit to the great duty of prayer both for ourselves and for others. (James 5:16)
5. We will work and pray for the unity of the Holy Spirit in the bond of peace with one another. (Eph. 4:1-3)
6. We will use our words to build up one another and glorify God, rather than speaking lies, deceit, slander, or gossip. (Eph. 4:29-31)
7. We will show Christian love, affectionate care, and be slow to take offense, always ready for forgiveness and reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior, to secure it without delay. (Jn. 13:34-35; Eph. 4:32; 1 Pt. 1:22)
8. We will encourage, admonish, and exhibit watchfulness over one another with wisdom and humility in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Matt. 7:1-5; Col. 3:13; 1 Thess. 5:11)
9. We will raise our children in the training and instruction of the Lord. By a pure and loving example, we will seek the salvation of our family, friends, and neighbors.(Eph 6:4; 1 Pt. 3:1)
10. We will rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep, helping to carry each other’s burdens. (Rom. 12:15)
11. We will defend and maintain a Christ-exalting ministry in this church by supporting and upholding the preaching of the Bible, the right administration of believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and when necessary, the exercise of church discipline. (Mt. 18:15-20; Acts 2:38; 1 Cor. 5:9-13, 11:26; 2 Tim. 4:2)
12. We will cheerfully and regularly contribute to the support of the ministry, the needs of the church, and the relief of the poor. (2 Cor. 9:7; Gal. 6:10; James 1:27; 1 Jn. 3:17-18)
13. We will proclaim the gospel in our homes, neighborhoods, and to the ends of the earth in whatever way the Lord enables us. (Mt. 28:18-20; 2 Cor. 5:16-21)
14. We will commit ourselves to live carefully in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our behavior.
15. We will, when moving from this place, unite with another church where we will carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
In our statement of faith, we aim to unite around what is true about God, how He saves sinners, and what it means to be a church together.
We believe that the Holy Bible, specifically the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament, was written by men divinely inspired, and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction; that it has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter. It is the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
(See Exodus 24:4; Deuteronomy 4:1-2; 17:19; Joshua 8:34; Psalms 19:7-10; 119:11,89,105,140; Isaiah 34:16; 40:8; Jeremiah 15:16; 36:1-32; Matthew 5:17-18; 22:29; Luke 21:33; 24:44-46; John 5:39; 16:13-15; 17:17; Acts 2:16ff.; 17:11; Romans 15:4; 16:25-26; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-2; 4:12; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
We believe that there is one and only one living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth, that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.
(See Genesis 1:1; 2:7; Exodus 3:14; 6:2-3; 15:11ff.; 20:1ff.; Leviticus 22:2; Deuteronomy 6:4; 32:6; 1 Chronicles 29:10; Psalm 19:1-3; Isaiah 43:3,15; 64:8; Jeremiah 10:10; 17:13; Matthew 6:9ff.; 7:11; 23:9; 28:19; Mark 1:9-11; John 4:24; 5:26; 14:6-13; 17:1-8; Acts 1:7; Romans 8:14-15; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 4:6; Colossians 1:15; 1 Timothy 1:17; Hebrews 11:6; 12:9; 1 Peter 1:17; 1 John 5:7)
A. God the Father
We believe that God the Father is fully divine and sovereignly reigns over creation. He is the source of all life and the one to whom the eternal kingdom belongs. He is the author of every event that occurs in both time and eternity. He foreknows, chooses, and predestines people according to His glorious plan of redemption. The Father draws sinners to believe in His Son through the work of the Holy Spirit. The Father forgives their sin and adopts them as His children, thus giving them peace with Him.
(Matthew 5:16, 6:5-14, 7:11, 18:35, 24:36, 28:19; John 3:16, 5:22-26, 6:37-40, 6:44; 8:16, 10:10 27-29; 15:8, 16:23, 17:1-8; Acts 1:7, 10:37; Romans 5:1, 6:4, 8:15, 8:28-30; 1 Corinthians 8:6, 15:24; Galatians 1:1; Ephesians 1:3-12, 4:6, 4:32; Philippians 2:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 2:4; Hebrews 12:6-10, 13:15-20; 1 Peter 1:2, 1:17; 1 John 1:9, 3:22, 4:14; 2 John 1:4)
B. God the Son
We believe that God the Son is fully divine and has eternally existed with the same glory as the Father. In His incarnation, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, taking on a second nature, without confusion, without change, without division, without separation; the distinction of natures being in no way annulled by the union, but rather the characteristics of each nature being preserved and coming together to form one person and subsistence, not as parted or separated into two persons, but one and the same Son and Only- begotten God the Word, Lord Jesus Christ, for our salvation. He lived a sinless life, died as a substitute for sinners, and rose from the dead as the Lord and Savior of all those who believe. Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and serves as the mediator between God and those who believe. He will soon return to judge sinners and to receive all those who have trusted in Him.
(Matthew 1:18-25, 4:1, 8:18-27, 11:19, 16:21, 26:42, 28:18-20; Mark 4:38, 5:1-15, 10:45, 15:39; Luke 1:34-35, 9:12-22, 22:70, 24:36-43; John 1:1-18, 3:16, 4:6, 5:18-21, 8:58, 10:30, 11:27-35, 14:28, 19:28, 20:28-31; Acts 1:11, 20:28; Romans 1:4, 9:5; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 2:20; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:13-19, 2:9; Titus 1:3-4, 2:13-14; Hebrews 1:1-2:3, 2:17, 4:12-14; 1 Peter 2:21; 2 Peter 1:1, 2:20, 3:18; 1 John 2:2, 4:2-3, 4:9, 4:15, 5:20; 2 John 7; Revelation 1:5, 2:18, 3:14, 19:11-16)
C. God the Holy Spirit
We believe that God the Holy Spirit is the eternal Spirit who shares in the fullness of deity along with the Father and the Son. He is the Spirit of truth sent by God the Father and Jesus Christ to carry out the eternal plan of redemption among God’s people. His primary ministry is to exalt and glorify Jesus by applying the Gospel to sinners’ hearts, to convict them of their sin, to give them new life in Christ, and to seal them until the day of redemption.
(Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:22-27; John 14:26, 15:26, 16:7-14; Acts 7:51, 10:19, 11:12, 13:2, 15:28, 16:6, 21:11; Romans 8:16, 8:27, 15:30; 1 Corinthians 2:10-14, 12:7-11; 2 Corinthians 3:1-6, 3:17-18, 13:14; Galatians 4:4-7; Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 5:19; Hebrews 10:29)
We believe humanity is the special creation of God, made in his own image. God created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. Adam and Eve belonged to the created order that God himself declared to be very good, serving as God’s agents to care for, manage, and govern creation, living in holy and devoted fellowship with their Maker. Men and women, equally made in the image of God, enjoy equal access to God by faith in Christ Jesus. The sacredness of human personality is evident in that God created man in His own image, and in that Christ died for man; therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
(Genesis 1:26-30; 2:5,7,18-22; 3; 9:6; Psalms 1; 8:3-6; 32:1-5; 51:5; Isaiah 6:5; Jeremiah 17:5; Matthew 16:26; Acts 17:26-31; Romans 1:19-32; 3:10-18,23; 5:6,12,19; 6:6; 7:14-25; 8:14-18,29; 1 Corinthians 1:21-31; 15:19,21-22; Ephesians 2:1-22; Colossians 1:21-22; 3:9-11.)
We believe that Man was created in holiness but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state; in consequence of which, all mankind is now sinful, not by constraint but choice; We believe that while all people retain the image of God, possess a conscience, and are capable of doing relative moral good, which is non-meritorious for salvation, they by nature entirely lack the holiness that is required by the law of God and are actively inclined to evil. Therefore, they are under just condemnation to a sentence of eternal ruin, without defense or excuse.
(See Genesis 1:26-30; 2:5,7,18-22; 3; 9:6; Psalms 1; 8:3-6; 32:1-5; 51:5; Isaiah 6:5; Jeremiah 17:5; Matthew 16:26; Acts 17:26-31; Romans 1:19-32; 3:10-18,23; 5:6,12,19; 6:6; 7:14-25; 8:14-18,29; 1 Corinthians 1:21-31; 15:19,21- 22; Ephesians 2:1-22; Colossians 1:21-22; 3:9-11)
We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace; through Jesus Christ; who freely took upon him our nature, yet without sin; honored the divine law by his personal obedience, and by his death made a full atonement for our sins; that having risen from the dead he is now enthroned in heaven. He is the all-sufficient Savior. We believe that from all eternity God determined in grace to save a great multitude of guilty sinners from every tribe and language and people and nation, and to this end foreknew them and chose them. We believe Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
For Letters A-D, see Genesis 3:15; Exodus 3:14-17; 6:2-8; Matthew 1:21; 4:17; 16:21-26; 27:22-28:6; Luke 1:68-69; 2:28-32; John 1:11-14,29; 3:3-21, 36; 5:24; 10:9,28-29; 15:1-16; 17:17; Acts 2:21; 4:12; 15:11; 16:30-31; 17:30-31; 20:32; Romans 1:16-18; 2:4; 3:23-25; 4:3ff.; 5:8-10; 6:1-23; 8:1-18,29-39; 10:9-10,13; 13:11-14; 1 Corinthians 1:18,30; 6:19-20; 15:10; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20; Galatians 2:20; 3:13; 5:22-25; 6:15; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-22; 4:11-16; Philippians 2:12-13; Colossians 1:9-22; 3:1ff.; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24; 2 Timothy 1:12; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 2:1-3; 5:8-9; 9:24-28; 11:1-12:8,14; James 2:14-26; 1 Peter 1:2-23; 1 John 1:6-2:11; Revelation 3:20; 21:1-22:5
A. Regeneration
or the new birth, is a work of God's grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart, wrought by the Holy Spirit, who convicts of sin, spiritually and savingly enlightening their minds to understand the Word of God, and renewing their whole nature so that they voluntarily love and practice holiness. The proper evidence of regeneration appears in the holy fruits of repentance, faith, and newness of life. Repentance and faith are inseparable experiences of grace. Repentance is a genuine turning from sin toward God. Faith is the acceptance of Jesus Christ and commitment of the entire personality to Him as Lord and Savior.
B. Justification
is God's gracious and full acquittal upon principles of His righteousness of all sinners who repent and believe in Christ. Justification includes the pardon of sin, righteous standing before God and his people, and the promise of eternal life founded on principles of righteousness. It is not given because of any works of righteousness we have done but only through faith in Christ and His finished work. By virtue of this faith God freely imputes Christ’s perfect righteousness to us. Justification brings the believer unto a relationship of peace and favor with God.
C. Sanctification
is the experience, beginning in regeneration, by which the believer is set apart to God's purposes, and is enabled to progress toward moral and spiritual maturity through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him. Growth in grace should continue throughout the regenerate person's life. These means include the word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness, prayer, and the oversight and fellowship of the visible church.
D. Glorification
is the culmination of salvation and is the final blessed and abiding state of the redeemed.
We believe that such only are real believers as endure unto the end; that their persevering attachment to Christ is the grand mark which distinguishes them from superficial professors; that a special Providence watches over their welfare; and they are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation. Though they may fall through neglect and temptation into sin–whereby they grieve the Spirit, impair their graces and comforts, bring reproach on the church and temporal judgments on themselves–yet they shall be renewed again unto repentance, and be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.
(See Genesis 12:1-3; Exodus 19:5-8; 1 Samuel 8:4-7,19-22; Isaiah 5:1-7; Jeremiah 31:31ff.; Matthew 16:18-19; 21:28-45; 24:22,31; 25:34; Luke 1:68-79; 2:29-32; 19:41-44; 24:44-48; John 1:12-14; 3:16; 5:24; 6:44-45,65; 10:27- 29; 15:16; 17:6,12,17-18; Acts 20:32; Romans 5:9-10; 8:28-39; 10:12-15; 11:5-7,26-36; 1 Corinthians 1:1-2; 15:24- 28; Ephesians 1:4-23; 2:1-10; 3:1-11; Colossians 1:12-14; 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14; 2 Timothy 1:12; 2:10,19; Hebrews 11:39–12:2; James 1:12; 1 Peter 1:2-5,13; 2:4-10; 1 John 1:7-9; 2:19; 3:2)
We believe that upon placing one’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, the believer is made part of the Body of Christ, the one universal Church, of which Jesus Christ is the Head, that will be assembled fully only at His second coming. We believe that a visible church of Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel; observing the two ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. Wherever God’s people meet regularly in obedience to this command, there is the local expression of the Church under the watchful care of the Elders. A church’s members are to work together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ
(See Ephesians 3:21; 4:16 Matthew 16:15-19; 18:15-20; Acts 2:41-42,47; 5:11-14; 6:3-6; 13:1-3; 14:23,27; 15:1-30; 16:5; 20:28; Romans 1:7; 1 Corinthians 1:2; 3:16; 5:4-5; 7:17; 9:13-14; 12; Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-22; 3:8-11,21; 5:22-32; Philippians 1:1; Colossians 1:18; 1 Timothy 2:9-14; 3:1-15; 4:14; Hebrews 11:39-40; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Revelation 2-3; 21:2-3)
We believe that Baptism is an ordinance of the Lord Jesus Christ, obligatory upon every believer in Christ, wherein he or she is baptized by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to show forth our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, with its effect, in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
(See Matthew 3:13-17, 26:26-29, 28:18-20; Acts 2:38-42, 8:36-38, 16:32-33; Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 11:17-34; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:11-12)
The Lord’s Supper is the commemoration together of the dying love of Christ; whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming, preceded always by solemn self-examination. We believe that with baptism, these are the two ordinances given by Christ and they should be practiced and celebrated by the gathered church, marking off believers from unbelievers and making the church visible on earth.
(See Matthew 26:26-29; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 21; 11:17-34)
God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, the place of everlasting conscious punishment. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord. We believe that death is not the end. Though the bodies of men after death return to dust, their spirits live on, the righteous departing to be with the Lord, and the wicked to be reserved under darkness to the judgment. We believe that the end of the world is approaching, and that at the last day Christ will descend from heaven and raise the dead from the grave to final retribution.
(See Isaiah 2:4; 11:9; Matthew 16:27; 18:8-9; 19:28; 24:27,30,36,44; 25:31-46; 26:64; Mark 8:38; 9:43-48; Luke 12:40,48; 16:19-26; 17:22-37; 21:27-28; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; 17:31; Romans 14:10; 1 Corinthians 4:5; 15:24- 28,35-58; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Philippians 3:20-21; Colossians 1:5; 3:4; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18; 5:1ff.; 2 Thessalonians 1:7ff.; 2; 1 Timothy 6:14; 2 Timothy 4:1,8; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 9:27-28; James 5:8; 2 Peter 3:7ff.; 1 John 2:28; 3:2; Jude 14; Revelation 1:18; 3:11; 20:1-22:13)
We believe that all believers are saints, set apart unto God and are thus responsible to live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord lest the Word of God be blasphemed. As Christians, we should obey the Word of our Lord, seek the things which are above, walk as He walked, and accept as our responsibility the duty and privilege of sharing the Gospel with a lost world. A victorious and fruitful Christian life is possible only for those who have presented themselves wholly to Christ and walk by the power of the Holy Spirit, which all believers are called to do.

We believe that God has created humans in his image and in the two distinct and complementary genders of male and female. These two genders are expressed in both physical biology and roles. Any departure from the biblical standard of male and female, whether that be a rejection of biological gender or an attempt to alter biological gender, is a violation of Scripture. We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in an exclusive, monogamous, covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and his church and to provide for the man and the woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means for procreation of the human race. We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, and pornography) is sinful and offensive to God.

We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and repent of their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with scripture nor the doctrines of the church. However, identifying particular behaviors and identities as sin does not constitute harassment or hate but rather is an action of love that brings others to Christ.

We believe it is the aim, duty, and privilege of every believer and local church fellowship to glorify God by responding as active participants in the Great Commission call of Jesus Christ to go and make disciples of all nations. We believe the primary focus and priority of the call is centered on efforts that establish, strengthen, and reproduce biblically-based churches, which then will plant churches for future generations and God’s glory.
